In 1998 while serving in the United States Air Force I fell in love with serving and caring for others while working as a Medical Service Specialist. I knew I had to continue this passion so I enrolled at Florida A&M University. In 1998 I received my Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Realizing the importance of being an advocate for the client and the families I served I wanted to learn more. In 2013 I entered Florida Coastal School of Law and focused my studies on healthcare concerns. In May 2015 I received my JD.
My nursing career has been very diverse. I have been blessed to have trained and worked in cardiac, orthopedics, endoscopy, out patient surgery, pain management, post anesthesia recovery, home health private and skilled, case manager for the Army Reserves, home infusion and Professional Care Manger. I have found in every position how confusing the health system can be for aging clients, those with disabilities and their families.
In 2017 and 2018 I had the privilege to take care of two of the greatest people on earth, my Grandparents. To learn their desires and advocate to make sure they were carried out was most rewarding. I experienced first hand how difficult it is to work, be present for appointments, give respite for other family members assisting with care and take care of my own family.
I can truly relate to the families we serve. For this reason Aging Life Solutions is dedicated to serving you with Purpose and Passion. We will listen to you and your family. Your desires will become our purpose and we will advocate passionately to assist you with meeting your desired goals.
I have enjoyed serving my country and my community and look forward to serving you.
